Here I Go....

"Here I go, and there's no turning back; my great adventure has begun! I may be small, but I've got giant plans..." --Little Women

It's so hard to believe that I leave for Bath in less than twenty-four hours! I finally got through most of my packing (hopefully the suitcases are both under the weight limit!), and now its just the wait until 6:30pm take off tomorrow.  In talks about my upcoming trip, I often get asked, "Are you nervous?" and I'm honestly more excited than nervous.  Despite the excitement, I am sad to be leaving home - it's kind of like reliving the going-to-college-for-the-first-time experience all over again.  But instead of leaving home to go to Williamsburg, I'm leaving to travel across time zones!  I cannot even begin to describe how much I am going to miss my family while I'm abroad.  I know that I am going to have some wonderful adventures, but its weird to think that Jessica, my parents, and my friends will not be there to share in those experiences.

I am very excited to start my classes with ASE (Advanced Studies in England).  I chose this program because I loved the course offerings (and for all of the included travel!), and I'm ready to be a student again.  Jessica and I were back at William and  Mary in January, and it was so bizarre to be walking around campus seeing everyone else go to class!  As strange as it sounds, I really wanted to be a student, and go to class and take notes!  I'm going to miss William & Mary so much - the campus, the activities, and most of the people.  Maybe I won't miss the deluges so much....but I guess I'll be right at home in England!

It's definitely bittersweet leaving for my trip abroad, but I cannot wait to see what experiences God has in store for me in Bath and beyond!  I'm going to miss you all so much, and many stories to come from across the ocean!
